Georgia Carbone: The Transcendental Gate/ March 19 - 30

ELECTR∆ Gallery presents The Transcendental Gate, metaphysical drawings and paintings by Georgia Carbone. Watercolor and ink drawings, oil painting, and philosophical inquiry come together in this abstract body of work that examines the human experience of spirit and energy. The triangle is present in each work as a formal unit that builds a larger composition, often repeating the triangle shape, creating a microcosm-macrocosm relationship of the part to the whole.

Georgia Carbone is a Santa Fe based artist, curator, and teacher. She has performed and exhibited at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, Krowswork Gallery, the Marin Museum of Contemporary Art, Abrams Claghorn Gallery, Form and Concept, The Bat & The Buffalo Gallery, LDBA Studio and others. She collaborated with the psych-rock band Dire Wolves from 2017 - 2021 and her vocals are featured on their albums released during that time. Carbone received her MFA in Visual Art from the California College of the Arts in 2010. She is the owner of Electra Gallery and Georgia Electra Studio where she curates exhibitions, teaches, and showcases fine art and craft by local artists..
