Cosmic Threads: Weaving As Cosmological Act brings together a diverse array of traditional and experimental weaving practices to present a compelling examination of the human proclivity for, not just creating wholeness, but also beauty and meaning, from fragments.
The 6 week exhibition features artists working with traditional basket and loom weaving techniques, as well as applying and examining weaving-like processes through drawing, embroidery, sculpture, jewelry, tapestry, photography and paper-making.
The twelve artists featured in Cosmic Threads: Weaving As Cosmological Act are: Robin Becker (Santa Fe), Eden Radfarr (ABQ), Renée Gertler (CA), Sean Paul Gallegos (ABQ), Gillian Huntley (Canada), Anna Simson (CA), Christina Dallas (Santa Fe), Lisa Miles (Santa Fe), Hugo Ximello-Salido (Santa Fe), Myste French (CO), Leora Lutz (CA), Andrew Harvier (Santa Clara Pueblo)
